Today I give God thanks for, and commemorate the friendship and ministry partnership of Rex Pair, who passed away Sunday, June 5, 2016 at the age of 52. He fought stage 4 lung cancer valiantly and relentlessly since his diagnosis September 2013.
Rex served as my Executive Pastor at Midway Church for the last 12 years, from July 2004 until his passing. As Executive Pastor he assisted me with the day-to-day operation of staff oversight, finance management, ministry strategy, long-range planning, and general administration. He held a Bachelor Degree in Organizational Leadership from Mercer University and a Master of Business Administration Degree from The University of West Georgia. He helped maintain organizational health during the fast growth of Midway Church from 1100 in worship in 2004 to over 2100 today. Rex and I also trained leaders together in the countries of Liberia and Brazil. His investment in my life, my team, Midway Church, and the kingdom of God is immeasurable. His work and influence will be felt for many years to come.
Please continue to pray for his wife Leslie, and daughters, Katie and Makenzee.
